FOUNDED IN 2005HOW IT ALL STARTED
Charlie Southall is a director, cinematographer and CEO of Dragonfly. Over the past decade, his work has taken him to 32 countries and 6 continents. Charlie has managed accounts with Amazon, Google, Honda and Sony – as well as the British Government.
You could be forgiven for assuming Charlie is just another privately-schooled, family-funded ‘media type’, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Charlie in fact comes from modest roots. No rich parents, no assistance, no handouts, no favours.
In 2005, Armed with nothing more than a Business Start-Up loan and unshakeable resolve, Charlie founded Dragonfly and he’s never looked back. “I just knew I could (and would) turn that money into a business.”

Dragonfly is the perfect name for a company which creates visuals. It couldn’t be a better fit. A dragonfly has highly evolved vision, their eyesight is so good, they can see into colour spectrums which we can not, and they can see 360 degrees. Best of all, dragonfly’s communicate with colour, which is exactly what our production company does.
A Dragonfly can change direction, without loosing speed – which is a great way to think if you are a creative Agency.
We are a different kind of creature. If you’re after some generic, cookie-cutter video to blend into the crowd, we’re not the team for you.
