Dragonfly have been lucky enough to work with M&C Saatchi on a number of high-profile projects over the years. As a result, we’ve had the pleasure of producing several videos for world-famous beer brand Peroni Nastro Azzuro. This particular project called for a series of videos for the House of Peroni – and arm of the brand that seeks to heighten the profile of the beer, associating it with couture fashion shows and exhibitions.
The House of Peroni is a high-profile immersive event that positions itself in the heart of London’s Covent Garden. Seeking to transport guests into an effortlessly stylish world, the event guides visitors into a number of curated rooms, each designed specifically to emulate several highly conceptual subject matters – among them: Sicily, Nature, Maximalism and the Future.
The videos were to be used on Peroni’s website and social media channels as part of a wider advertising campaign for the events. This was very much an exercise in branding. Peroni were keen to associate the brand with sophisticated, beautiful subject matter, seeking out cool, grown-up footage that would continue to position the beer in a modern and unique position.
Without a requirement for a voiceover – or any on-screen text – projects like this are all about the visuals. It was crucial that we gathered the correct footage, that would balance an audience’s existing knowledge of the brand with the decadent, sophisticated image that Peroni had visualised.
We worked closely with M&C Saatchi to collect the most appropriate footage for the campaign, using beautiful shots of the Peroni beer bottle, cocktail bar settings and beautiful coastal holiday shots. The finished video cuts only the best footage together, creating something truly dripping in decadence.
The Dragonfly team wanted to grab people in a passionate Italian embrace, making them squeal ‘Yes! Take me to that place!’. We think the edit is successful in this, leaving the audience thinking about Peroni – associating beautiful settings and sophisticated events with the brand.
M&C Saatchi were delighted with the result – and we’ve had the pleasure of working with them on a number of additional projects – including additional House of Peroni work. Here at Dragonfly, we always relish the opportunity to develop on-going relationships with clients – continuing to create high-quality work in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
