Our Requirements form is a short questionnaire that helps us better understand your business and what you’re looking for in a video. It also gives you an opportunity to think about your business and the core messages that you would like to convey in your video.
At this initial stage we focus on establishing your objectives and gaining a more in-depth understanding about what you are trying to communicate with the video. This includes key messages, desired impact, and learning a little bit more about the intended audience. We will discuss the creative brief with your key stakeholders, share some animation style options, and answer any questions you may have about the process going forward. It is also an opportunity for us to familiarise ourselves with your brand guidelines and any other core PR elements that may influence the direction of the project.
On average, we estimate 4-6 weeks to complete and deliver an animated video, but we are able to sometimes accommodate much tighter deadlines. The schedule will clearly outline when you can expect particular elements to be delivered, but also, when you will need to feedback on these, so that we can keep the process moving.
The foundation of any great video is a creative concept and an engaging script. Our team will brainstorm dozens of ideas and our talented scriptwriter will develop a script that effectively communicates your message. This is one of the most important steps in the whole production process, and once signed off, is very difficult and costly to change, so please give some extra thought to exactly what you want your video to say.
If you have an important message to deliver, you want to have the right person delivering it. We let you choose a voice from our carefully curated database of professional voice talent. Once you’ve made your selection, we will arrange to get that recorded.
An explainer video should be unique to your business and accurately reflect your brand. That’s why we create every single video from scratch using custom illustration and design. A style frame is a single, full-colour frame that accurately reflects the final aesthetic of your video. Whether you want something fun, corporate, modern, or otherwise, we’ve got you covered. We work with some of the most talented designers in the industry and have a nearly limitless ability to create the look you need.
Once we’ve developed the script and style of the video, we’ll sketch up a storyboard that details the visuals for the video scene-by-scene. This is where the video really starts to take shape. You’ll see how each scene is designed, the layout, and the progression of the story. We’ll use these storyboards to create illustration assets based on the approved style frames. It will also serve to direct the animator’s motion of those assets.
We enlist the perfect animator for your project, but good work takes time, so this stage is often the longest. Keep in mind, we’re adding precisely timed motion to each and every scene. That being said, unless we need clarification or further explanation for the animators, don’t be alarmed if we aren’t flooding your inbox with updates during this time. We’re just busy working our magic.
When it comes to a video, sound design makes all the difference. We share a database of music options for you to choose from and then layer in custom sound effects to make your video shine.
